The Citi Open is the longest running ATP tour event in the United States and is located at the William H.G. FitzGerald Tennis Center in Washington, DC (August 1-9 2015). WTEF is the proud beneficiary of the Citi Open, an event that showcases the best in professional tennis, while at the same time giving back to tennis and the community. To show our appreciation to sponsors and donors of WTEF Tennis Ball by giving reserved seating, air conditioned suites, and box seats to the Citi Open. WTEF students participate in activities during the tournament on and off court.
The WTEF Pro Am is a doubles event held on the first Sunday of the Citi Open on 5 hard courts from 4:30-7p.m. This exciting event offers exclusive opportunities to partner with and play against professional tour players competing in this year's Citi Open. The cost per player is $1,000. Benefits of participating in the WTEF Pro-Am include:
- Play with some of the world's top men's doubles players
- Watch Sunday qualifying matches with parking pass
- Watch Monday evening tennis matches with a guest in an air-conditioned suite, with light in-suite dinner
Incorporating the Doubles Pro-Am initiative for WTEF has help raised an additional $10-20,000/year in critical funding for WTEF programs over the past five years (2009-2014).
