Citi Open

The 2014 Citi Open -- the longest running ATP tour event in the United States—was a huge success!  For the first time in Citi Open history, we had an all-Canadian men's final, with Milos Raonic defeating fellow countryman Vasek Pospisil to win the title.  On the women’s side, Svetlana Kuznetsova won her 14th career title after a four year drought. Kuznetsova defeated Kurumi Nara in a three-set thriller. The stellar line up of players and unseasonably cool weather brought out big crowds to this year’s event.

WTEF is extremely proud to be the beneficiary of the Citi Open, an event that showcases the best in professional tennis, while at the same time giving back to tennis and the community.  The event’s title sponsor, CITI, has proven to be a very supportive partner, as exemplified by the Citi Kids Day that they organized on behalf of WTEF students.

Thank you to tournament organizers Lagardere, sponsors and everyone who attended!
