Citi Open

The 2013 Citi Open -- the longest running ATP tour event in the United States—was a huge success!  #1 seed Juan Martin del Potro defeated local favorite John Isner in three sets to claim his third DC title.  On the women’s side, 2012 Citi Open Champion, Magdalena Rybarikova sucessfully defendciti_open_R.jpged her title defeating Andrea Petkovic in the final. The stellar line up of players and unseasonably not-too-hot weather brought out big crowds to this year’s event.

WTEF is extremely proud to be the beneficiary of the Citi Open, an event that showcases the best in professional tennis, while at the same time giving back to tennis and the community.  The event’s title sponsor, CITI, has proven to be a very supportive partner, as exemplified by the Citi Kids Day that they organized on behalf of WTEF students.  Watch here!

Thank you to tournament organizers Lagardere, sponsors and everyone who attended!
