WTEF follows the USTA Athletic Development Model that encourages fun and positive experiences using modified equipment sized right for youth players while they progress through their tennis journey.

Coach Agathe is a USPTR-certified high-performance instructor and played internationally including in ITF tournaments and Fed Cup competition, representing Cameroon, where she was the number one ranked player. She trained in France under the supervision of former French Open champion Yannick Noah. She has coached junior players who have reached top rankings not only in the mid-Atlantic section but who have gone on to win national and international championships and who have been ranked internationally.
Coach Matt is USPTR certified and has extensive junior playing experience in both the Mid-Atlantic and Southern Sections of the USTA. Earning a scholarship to play Division 1 tennis at Morgan State, Matthew went on to become captain of the Men’s team from his sophomore year until the time of his matriculation in 2008. Coach Matt has extensive leadership experience and is entering his seventh season at the helm of the men's and women's tennis programs at his alma mater, Morgan State. Townes, who was named Morgan State Coach of the Year for two consecutive years (2017, 18), capped off a historic 2018 season by guiding the Lady Bears to the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) championship and leading the Gentlemen Bears to becoming the 2019 MEAC Champions.
