For 70 years, the Washington Tennis & Education Foundation (WTEF) has helped young people unlock their potential through tennis, education, and ongoing life-skills development. As we approach our 75th anniversary, we are focused on expanding access so even more students and families across Washington, DC can benefit from our programs.

In October 2025, WTEF partnered with Third Plateau to develop a five-year strategic plan shaped by the voices of our staff, board, families, students, and community partners. Together, we set a shared vision for WTEF’s future, building on our strengths and aspiring to an even brighter future.

Our 2026–2031 strategic plan focuses on three priorities:

  • ELEVATE Our Programs & Operations: Invest in the people, systems, and resources that power our mission.

  • GROW Our Reach: Serve more students in need with the same low-cost, high-quality programs that make a difference.
  • ENGAGE our Community: Bring people together to support, celebrate, and share our work.
